Like in our physical world, there may be unscrupulous or immoral astral projectors in the astral plane. The question here is are there established ethical guidelines for astral projection? This article addresses the potential ethical issues and why there is no need for "Astral Police" the same way we have actual law enforcers here in our physical world.
Astral Projection Privacy And Ethics
There is a widespread belief stemming from early this century that has not only remained unchanged but has been continually propagated ever since. This belief is that if a projector deliberately invades the privacy of another person for immoral purposes or unethical gain, or engages in any disreputable or sexual behavior during OBE, they will be banned or stopped from further projecting -- grounded by a higher authority. It is even believed by some that there is a kind of astral police force watching out for ethical, moral and astral rights transgressors.
According to my experience this belief is a total myth. There are many natural barriers associated with OBE, but there are no ethical nor moral limitations. No higher authority is interested in the activities of projectors. No astral police force will appear and punish bad or naughty projectors.
The ethical and moral correctness of any out-of-body action depends entirely upon the judgment and conscience of the projector concerned. With out-of-body sex especially, strong natural barriers are encountered and there are natural repercussions for repeated disreputable behavior. If projectors cannot control their behavior they will not last very long nor travel very far while out of body. Their experiences will tend to be quickly curtailed whenever they meet any potential sex partners, real or unreal. This cuts their OBE's very short indeed and keeps them off the astral streets, so to speak.

Hi There!
Well, I wouldn't call myself an authority on the subject, but I have written about it in my fictional novel. It's called The Astral Avenger- but even though it is a fiction book, it does talk a lot about how practice does indeed make perfect. She has the rare ability to be able to astrally project rather naturally.
SO I would say of course practice makes perfect. The more you at least try- the more likely you'll be able to do it more as well as frequently.
Good luck and GREAT article!

This is such a wonderful blog! Count on me returning! As I mentioned in another post, I wrote a book, ficitonal like a horror story, about astral projection. It's called The Astral Avenger, which kind of plays right into the topic here. For Angela, the main character, she follows rules set by herself, at first, and then an "Order of Light".
In my very OWN practices... I have never once heard or seen any kind of police. I tend to believe that projection happens to people intending to project for a reason, be it meditation or because of meditation- but once there- although Angela in my book goes to kill people, she does it to heal the people who have been victimized.
So regarding the ethics of projecting. I do feel that people should have their own set if they are going to do it in the first place and Second thought- I think that since it is the rare person that can "just do it" without meditating, I suspect that the act of meditation in the first place, would remove a lot of we'll call them, unwholesome projecting reasons.
Thoughts anyway! Wonderful blog Wonderful!
